Meghan and Anthony
Hudson House
Jersey City, NJ
Meghanthony. I feel like I can just type that one word and those who know them will feel that’s enough. I’m so obsessed with these two humans AND their families and their friends and their shared vendors and the who vibe - everything but the rain. The rain can kick rocks, but genuinely, it didn't take anything away from Meghan and Anthony having the most magical day. I finally got to meet these two earlier this year for the coldest day in Hoboken, but again, it didn’t matter. Consider it prep work for the wedding day - fast forward a few month and we started coverage with their rehearsal dinner - also known as a mini wedding because they included nearly every guest from their wedding day. And I learned a new tradition of the GROG as a not so soft nod to Anthony’s time with the Navy.
Waking up to rain on your wedding day it not fun, I get it, no one plans for it to rain on their wedding day. HOWEVER, picking a venue that allows you to still have the freedom to have the best day ever is paramount and Hudson House is exactly that. I will never tire of the insane amounts of natural light pouring into this space even when it’s pouring outside. Meghan’s soft spring color pallet paired with the funky touches of The W, Hoboken were just chef’s kiss. The sweet little bell flowers for the girls and the elegant orchids throughout blended seamlessly into the tulip stunner show in the reception space. And Anthony - the hot dog rollers in the groom’s room? Are you kidding me? My own personal heaven. The only thing that could possibly level up the whole day is The Barnstorm Band and hot damn did they ever?! One of my all time favorite bands to work alongside of.
All the fluff aside, Meghan and Anthony share such a genuine nerdy love that I’m never going to get over. They compliment each other in a way that can only be rooted in deep family love which is beyond evident from the people closest to them. If I could I would adopt myself into their family and weave myself into the fabric of their lives - it’s THAT good. Until then, I will pray this wasn’t the last time we cross path’s. Congratulations to you both and if you choose the family route I hope you continue to grow and blend the most magical family.
