Wheeeeeewwwwww - We are in 2026 baby. Thank goodness. I throughly enjoyed my down season over the winter (for the two months that it lasts) playing in the snow with my family but the energy!!! What a way to come back into the wedding world than a solid energy filled day with Andre and Samantha.

By this point The Ivy feels like my home away from home and I love every second of it. My favorite part of coming back to the same venues is trying to outdo myself from the last time I was there - and honesty, my couples at this venue are making that increasingly hard every time. Andre and Sam were blessed with a nice cloudy day (blessed being the operative word) but this gave me the space to create freely in spaces that normally the light is difficult in. While I wanted the challenge of harsh light, I will soak up these softly lit days with couples who can truly embrace whatever the weather throws at them.

From the quiet mornings spent with close friends and family so the intimate portraits throughout Ellis Preserve this day gave me everything. The ceremony was held in the indoor/outdoor space shielded from the winds and was just perfection. I cannot say enough good things about these two. From the moment I met them on what felt like one of the hottest days of summer all the way to when I left their wedding they were gracious, enigmatic, and filled with love from one another. I knew their wedding was going to be a shit ton of fun for me and they did not disappoint.

Being so hung up on my love for these two as a couple I wasn’t completely distracted from learning about their colors and wedding vibe. If I've said it once, I’ve said it a million times, I will love your details - but the people at your wedding are my focus. When I showed up I was pleasantly surprised at the stunning florals that were filled with texture and dimension. Did I forget how much I love flat lays on my time off? No, not at all. But when you hand me statement flowers It makes me happy all over again.

Samantha and Andre, I wish you all the best and love and life! I hope you always see each other, celebrate each other, and have as much fun forever as you did on your wedding day.
