Rachel and Chris

Huntingdon Valley Country Club

Oh my gosh I don’t even know how to put into words the magic of these two. Prior to their wedding day, we had only chatted briefly through socials and a few times on the phone. Naturally I was hella nervous for the day because I’m nervous (read: excited) for all of my weddings. I just want you all to have the most perfect and magical days! So imagine the sadness when we rolled up to Huntingdon Valley Country Club and it was covered with a soft gray haze. My heart sank at all the things I had planned, but nonetheless, these two were really able to roll with the punches and remind me that the weather isn’t really that important. In fact this kind of weather didn’t actually dull anything (aside from the outdoor ceremony - RIP - we will think about you) but instead sharpened it—colors richer, emotions louder, everything suspended in a quiet sort of magic.

Rachel’s look was BEYOND. I’m pretty sure if you knew her, you would have seen that coming 100 miles away, but I never get to meet her in person! And I will preach to the heavens that social media is a highlight reel. But you guys… No the fuck it’s not. She really is THAT adorable in real life, and such a joy to spend the day with. She wasn’t the kind of bride who had to try to look elegant; she simply was. And when Chris locked eyes with her at their ceremony, the entire world narrowed to the two of them. His face changed in that unmistakable way people do when they’re looking at their favorite person on earth.

Their wedding party followed suit in all black, crisp and modern against the soft, moody weather. The white florals—they almost glowed. Simple, clean, intentional. No fuss, just beauty. What stood out most, though, wasn’t the aesthetic (lovely as it was). It was the relationship. Rachel and Chris are the rare couple whose love feels both effortless and deeply rooted. They giggled together, shared intimate moments, and just legit should be married. Like 100% no doubts in my mind. Now again, I have never met them together so I didn’t know what to expect but my goodness… watching them felt like watching two people who genuinely like each other just as much as they love each other. Their ceremony carried that same energy—real, warm, and intimate.

And then the dancing—yes ma’am, the dancing. Once the reception began, any pretense of calm went out the window. Laughter ricocheted off the walls. Shoes were abandoned. Rachel’s dress spun and stretched across the floor; Chris never left her side for more than a minute. It was the kind of night where every photograph shows someone mid-laugh or mid-twirl. By the time the mist thickened into darkness and the candles burned out, it was obvious: this wasn’t just a beautiful wedding. It was the perfect beginning for two people whose love is equal parts tenderness, humor, and unwavering friendship.

Enjoy a little sneak into their foggy October Wedding.
