Barn Swallow Wedding

2020 has been a f*cking ride. Am I right? I spent the first half of my year wondering what I was going to do with all my free time and planning all of the things I was going to take care of with my business. Then all of the sudden it’s OCTOBER! Like what? The planner in me is thinking How did we go from Christmas to Christmas? What happened to all those months in-between? I never realized how much weddings had just become a part of my life in the way that I tell the days and months apart. Needless to say, I’m so happy that I’m able to get back into a little touch of normalcy for my brain and getting the mental joy from weddings! If you’ve read anything on this site ever, you should be able to tell how much I love my couples and love what I do and the pandemic has made that all the more clear to me. It’s given me a fresh set of eyes and a new way of how I approach a wedding day. Okay though - enough about me! On to the reason you are all here!

Kurstin and Greg are literal perfection. Neither of them were looking forward to the amount of eyes that would be on them on their wedding day because that just isn’t where their values lie. I remember back to their engagement session where they both made it very apparent that they were more looking forward to being married than they were for the huge party. Looking back through their images though, I have a feeling that all changed and the energy pouring out from their friends and family morphed into their own feelings of celebration and love. The entire day was so beautiful! From a morning lacking all of the rain - aside from our own bodies - to the most perfect sunset and perfect depiction of those cool southern summer nights, Barn Swallow was the perfect setting for their celebration.

My favorite part of their day?! Since I know you’ll all dying to hear my opinion - The moments following their ceremony. Both Kurstin and Greg walked down the isle nervous and eager to see each other and once that first kiss as husband and wife happened and they walked trough the crowd of cheers I could literally sense a weight being lifted off of their shoulders. They walked into the ceremony. They glided back out. It was truly beautiful. Plus we were that much closer to the drinks and the party!

Enjoy their amazing wedding day and special shout out to the bomb ass vendor team that made everything possible!
